They say there’s no place like home, and for the staff at our east London office on the Roman Road that’s certainly true, having scooped a major gong for the postcode in which they are based. To win gold for best lettings agent in E3 at the British Property Awards was a particularly sweet victory for managing director Michael Woolley and the team, who were then automatically put forward for the whole east London region.Although up against hundreds of other agents covering both the east and south east of the capital, Butler & Stag stood its ground, bagging a very respectable silver. It was a fantastic achievement considering we’re a relatively small, independent and especially when you look at how part of the competition was judged. As well as looking at how walk-in enquiries and phone calls were dealt with, they also assessed response times to enquiries, both in and out of office. With none of the automated response systems of the bigger corporates, Butler & Stag rely instead on good, old-fashioned service, which coupled with intimate local knowledge, enabled us to punch well above our weight.
