Last weekend saw another fantastic Theydon Bois Donkey Derby, held on the beautiful Theydon Bois Village Green. For the ninth consecutive year, Butler & Stag were proud to be the event's headline sponsors, supporting one of the village's most-loved annual community events.
While this year's Derby looked a little different, it was no less memorable. With the exceptionally hot weather, organisers made the sensible decision to hold a donkless derby, putting the welfare of the donkeys first. Although the four-legged stars couldn't take part, the day was still packed with fun, laughter, and a brilliant community spirit.
It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces throughout the day. As local estate agents in Theydon Bois, Butler & Stag always enjoy catching up with residents, meeting new faces, and supporting events that bring the community together. Despite the soaring temperatures, the atmosphere was fantastic, with plenty of people turning out to enjoy everything the day had to offer.
This year, we also brought something a little different along – our bucking bronco! It proved to be a huge hit, with people of all ages giving it a go (and providing plenty of entertainment for everyone watching!).
