Since its establishment in 1987, the Donkey Derby has become a beloved community event that brings people together for a day of fun and charity, the event is held on Theydon Bois village green and brings not only Theydon Bois together but the surrounding areas like Epping, Abridge, Loughton and even further afield. Supported by Butler & Stag, the event has grown in popularity, attracting over 4000 people each year. The Donkey Derby is a testament to the power of community spirit. Year after year, the event brings together individuals from newborns to our older generation along with our furry friends, fostering a sense of togetherness and camaraderie.
