Butler & Stag Support School Appeal for Library Bus

Local estate agents Butler & Stag are rolling up their sleeves once again to raise money for a local cause that needs their help. Theydon Bois Primary School is expanding its facilities by virtue of a bus donated by Stagecoach London.

The bus resides in the playground and Head Teach Andre Rall is keen to turn the bus into a library and provide extra curricular activities for the 320 students who attend the school from reception to year 6.

He said: "We are delighted to get the bus but it will cost around £5,000 to refurb and put in place all necessary facilities and equipment. It's great that Butler & Stag want to help as we already benefit from their support for sponsorings our sports team kits and other general fundraising. We would like to get the bus up and running in the next few months."

So, the challenge is on and the one chosen is for six staff members to complete the Open Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge starting in Chapel le Dale, walking the route anti-clockwise via Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside. It will be a long haul and an early start which this time includes three ladies after three of the men took on the UK Three Peaks Challenge in 2017.

Neil Leahy, Butler & Stag's Director, Land & New Homes, said: "As a parent I know the school well. This bus is a welcome addition to school facilities and being local we want to help. Our fundraising challenge is £5,000 and we hope people will support our efforts."

The challenge takes place on Sunday 3rd May and will mark a personal challenge for some of the team members as this will be their first attempt at a physical test.
