As the days grow longer and Spring is upon us, we are delighted to announce that our lettings department has seen the busiest and most successful start to a year on record.

On average we are securing tenants within four days of marketing new instructions, with a severe lack of choice for tenants being the main contributing factor for the fast paced turnover.

In line with the lack of available properties, savvy tenants are commencing their property searches months in advance to ensure that they don't get caught out. Our usual advice to landlords is to market no sooner that 4-6 weeks in advance of the proposed move in date, fearing that the property might go stale if not snapped up in the early stages of marketing. This cautious approach has completely changed this year, and the proof is in the pudding as we have agreed several lets over the last two months with move in dates throughout the summer.

We have also seen a notable influx of corporate tenants. High on their priority list are typical Shoreditch Lofts/Warehouse conversions with lots of character, modern two bedroom apartments close to Old Street and large 4-5 bedroom period houses in Hackney, Bethnal Green and Islington.
